John Aprea, the American actor famous for The Godfather Part II and Full House TV show, has died at aged 83. His manager, Will Levine, stated that Aprea had died of natural causes in Los Angeles, in the presence of his family.
Son of Italian immigrants Josephine and Michael, Aprea was born in Englewood New Jersey in 1941. He started acting in the early sixties and got a wider recognition for doing young Sal Tessio in The Godfather Part II. This role became one of his best with the fame and fortune he earned from film making and became one of the legends of the industry.
He also left a mark on television more notably when he played the dad of John Stamos in Full House between 1988 and 1991. He later brought back this character in the Netflix sequel, Fuller House in 2017 and earned the love of the younger generation.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy Garci, his daughter Nicole, and his stepchildren. Through movies and television series, John Aprea left a positive and meaningful impact on the industry.
