Wednesday, 15th of February was not a good day for Arsenal fans, as they lost the top spot in the premier league to Manchester City.
Manchester City defeated Arsenal 3-1, De Bruyne scored the first goal, in the 24th minute, and Bukayo Saka later equalized for Arsenal 18 minutes later from the Penalty spot. Man City Midfielder, Jack Grealish restored Man City’s lead as he scored another goal in the 72nd minute. Erling Haaland, Man City’s goal-scoring machine scored the third goal in the 82nd minute.
Arsenal fans were seen throwing plastic bottles and other objects at De Bruyne who was making his way to the dugout as he was substituted by Kalvin Philips in the 88th minute. This incident was included by the Referee in his report, the English FA is set to investigate the incident.
