According to officials, at least ten people were murdered in a fire at a Cambodian hotel-casino near the Thai border.
The fire broke out at the Grand Diamond City hotel-casino in the border town of Poipet on Wednesday at about 23:30 (16:30 GMT).
According to officials, approximately 400 individuals were inside the structure when started the fire.
Social media videos reveal what appear to be people jumping or falling from upper stories.
According to local media, the hotel, which backs up to the border, was packed with Thai nationals.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
A Thai foreign ministry spokesman told the AFP news agency that some of the injured were sent to hospitals in Thailand’s Sa Kaeo region.
Poipet is a vital border crossing between the two countries. It is also well-known for its casinos, which many Thai nationals frequent because gambling is generally prohibited in Thailand.
