Governor Fubara Praises Jonathan’s Support

Governor Fubara commended Jonathan for his guidance during challenging periods of his administration, calling him a father figure and a symbol of humility. He highlighted the former president’s role in navigating complex crises, though he did not provide specifics.

“I canceled all engagements to personally receive him and attend this event,” Fubara said, expressing gratitude for Jonathan’s presence and leadership.

Commitment to Rivers State Development

Fubara also addressed his supporters, pledging to complete the Egwi-Afara-Mba road project within six months. He assured the people of his administration’s dedication to fulfilling promises and uplifting their lives.

“We will not let you face shame. Your support is appreciated, and we will deliver on our commitments,” the governor stated.

Support for Traditional Institutions

The governor announced a N100 million grant to complete the Etche King’s palace project, emphasizing his administration’s support for traditional institutions.

Congratulating HRH Dr. Ken O. Nwala on his 10-year reign, Fubara urged the monarch to continue leading with humility and faith, noting the importance of the milestone.

“This 10th anniversary reflects resilience and God’s grace. I wish you well as you lead your people with the fear of God,” Fubara concluded.
