The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, urged house owners and landlords within the state not to increase the house rent due to commissioning of link road and bridge in Abiola-Onijemo area, Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government.
Speaking at the unveiling, Governor Sanwo-Olu stated that it was not supposed to further increase the pains of their lives but improve the general quality of lives, hence urging all landlords to be considerate and allow their tenants the benefits of a better and improved road without necessarily ‘killing’ them with incrementing house rent.
The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to solving long-standing community issues, including flooding and transportation challenges. He urged residents to support the government’s efforts by maintaining the infrastructure and ensuring the bridge is kept clean and functional for years to come.
