In a recent development, manager Mikel Arteta revealed that Bukayo Saka will be out for at least more than two months as he underwent surgery on an injury to his hamstring last week. The 23-year-old forward successfully completed the surgery, although there is no definite time said for his return.

“He had a procedure, everything went well, but unfortunately, he will be out for many, many weeks,” Arteta said after Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Ipswich Town, which moved the Gunners to second in the Premier League.

When asked for more details, Arteta explained: “I think it will be more than two months. It will depend on how the scar tissue starts to heal, especially in the first week of mobility. Let’s see, but it’s very difficult to say right now.”

Saka has been instrumental for Arsenal this season, netting five goals and setting up ten more in the league. The England international suffered the injury during a match with Crystal Palace earlier this month and left the stadium on crutches.

He also missed several games in October and November, including three Nations League matches, Arsenal’s defeat at Bournemouth, and a Champions League win against Shakhtar Donetsk because of an injury to the same leg.

Now Arsenal must find a way to manage their form without one of their important players.
