2023 Presidency: Northern politicians who could swing the elections in PDP’s favour

With the presidential election in 2023 only a few years away, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is already preparing behind the scenes to win the next presidential election in 2023.

Despite the fact that the PDP failed in the last two attempts to beat the All Progressive Congress (APC) due to the party’s influence in many states, the party has a stronghold in several states. But now that the next presidential election is approaching, some PDP leaders are arguing that the PDP presidential ticket should be open to all zones in the country rather than just the south-east, which is also vying for the presidency. This is because the PDP needs a popular and influential candidate who will be acceptable to Nigerians across the country in order to challenge the ruling All Progressive Congress in the next presidential election.

As a result, if the PDP decides to listen to agitations by awarding the 2023 Presidential ticket to all geopolitical zones, there are three Northerners who are members of the PDP who may work together peacefully to guarantee that the PDP wins the next Presidential election in 2023.

Rabiu Kwankwaso

Rabiu Kwankwaso is the first Northerner who can help the PDP win the next presidential election. Because of his position as the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement group, he is one of the PDP leaders who has thousands of fans in Nigeria.

Because the Kwankwasiyya movement is one of the most popular in the north, all Kwankwaso has to do now is guarantee that the PDP and the Kwankwasiyya movement group work together to increase the chances of the party reaching its goal in the north.

Senator Bukola Saraki

Bukola Saraki is the second Northerner who may help the PDP. He was the previous president of Nigeria’s senate. In the Northern Region, particularly in Kwara State, where he served as Governor, Bukola Saraki is a household name.

Bukola Saraki can easily use his rapport with many politicians at the lower rungs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the North Central to work for the party, especially now that the North Central (where Bukola Saraki hails from) is agitating for the presidency in 2023, especially considering the fact that the zone has not led the country since 1999.

Aminu Tambuwal

Aminu Tambuwal is the third Northerner who can help the PDP win the presidential election in 2023. He is the governor of Sokoto state. Because of his prior position as Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, he is one of the most powerful leaders in the north, with thousands of fans throughout the north and throughout Nigeria.

As Chairman of the Governors Forum of the PDP, because of his amicable ties with other Nigerian politicians, he has the potential to assist the PDP in winning the next presidential election.
