Obi, 60, was the opposition party’s Vice-Presidential candidate in 2019. The former Governor of Anambra is well-liked in both the political and Igbo communities. In 2023, Obi may be re-considered as the PDP’s Vice-Presidential Candidate.

2. Ayodele Fayose:

Fayose is widely recognized as one of Nigeria’s most popular politicians. Former Governor of Ekiti State is one of the PDP chieftains from the South West who may be considered for the Vice Presidential Ticket in 2023.

3. Governor Aminu Tambuwal:

Aminu Tambuwal, the Governor of Sokoto State and Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, is a close ally. If the party’s Vice-Presidential Ticket for 2023 is awarded to the South-South Region, the Rivers State Governor is qualified for the top job.

4. Atiku Abubakar:

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President, has a close relationship with the Governor of Oyo State. Makinde, 53, is a PDP Topshot to watch if the Vice-Presidential Ticket is given to the South-West.

5. Governor Ifeanyi Okowa:

Since joining the PDP in 1998, Okowa, who is in his second term as Governor of Delta State, has been a staunch supporter. He is one of the South-South Governors to keep an eye on as a possible PDP Vice-Presidential Candidate.

6. Governor Udom Emmanuel:

The 55-year-old Akwa-Ibom State Governor could be considered if the South-South is allocated for the PDP Vice Presidential Ticket in 2023. Furthermore, Akwa-Ibom State has one of the country’s highest voter registration percentages.
