The Nigeria Police Force has issued a wanted notice for Ihuoma Julia Nneji, daughter of ABC Transport boss Frank Nneji, over allegations linked to cybercrime.
In a statement shared Tuesday night on the official Facebook page of the Force, the National Cybercrime Center (NPF-NCC) revealed that Ihuoma is being sought over alleged involvement in cyberstalking, criminal defamation, and spreading injurious falsehood.
Investigators allege that between August and September 2024, Ihuoma led a campaign of online harassment and blackmail targeting a businessman based in Abuja. Though his name has not been made public, sources claim that Ihuoma worked alongside others to publish damaging content against him across various platforms.
The issue became more widely known on September 24, 2024, when outspoken activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), issued an ultimatum demanding that Ihuoma retract her statements and apologise to the businessman.
“You have 24 hours to take down the defamatory content and tender an apology. If you don’t, I will come out with all the evidence and make sure the truth comes to light,” VDM said in a video that spread quickly online.
At the time of filing this report, neither Ihuoma nor any member of the Nneji family has commented on the situation.
The Police have urged anyone with useful information regarding her location to reach out to the nearest police station or contact the National Cybercrime Center in Abuja.
