Borussia Dortmund have re-established the prohibitive regulations regarding the access of the dressing room after the report of a scuffle between the parents of Jobe Bellingham and club sporting director Sebastian Kehl.

Bild and Sky Germany state that Mark Bellingham, father and manager of Jobe and his brother Jude, was spotted standing in the player tunnel after the match at St. Pauli that ended 3-3 on Saturday. He is said to have confronted Kehl with a “lengthy and emotional discussion” after Jobe was taken off at half-time on his Bundesliga debut.

The incident was just after Dortmund’s collapse, who were 3-1 up and conceded late on after Filippo Mane was sent off. St. Pauli made the most of the opportunity, scoring twice in the dying minutes to take a point in the first game of the season.

Though Kehl wasn’t speaking about the fight when he gave his statement to Bild, he emphasized the club’s position regarding the matter of keeping families and advisors away from team areas.
“The area of activity is and will remain reserved for players, coaching staff, and management, not for families and advisors. That won’t happen again,” he said.

Jobe Bellingham, 19, moved to Dortmund from Sunderland this summer, following the career of his older brother Jude, who went to Real Madrid in 2023 after a successful term in Germany.
