Glasner Exit Clouds Palace’s Push as Eagles Seek Focus Amid Uncertainty

Crystal Palace is certainly in a state of some turbulence after their manager, Oliver Glasner, said he would leave the club at the end of the season. The Austrian coach, who led the Eagles to their first major trophy by winning the FA Cup last season, will leave the club as his contract expires in June, thus putting an end to the rumours over his future for quite a while now.

Glasner stated that he had told chairman Steve Parish of his decision in October, and that the reason for his decision was, in his words, “…a change of challenge and definitely not a feeling of disappointment with the slow progress of the club in the market”. Based on some rumors, he may be a candidate for other jobs, i.e., Manchester United, but the 51-year-old denied any meetings with other clubs and said that he is currently fully concentrated on concluding the season on a high note.

However, the determination will be tested as Palace tries to keep up their domestic and European ambitions in style, with the Eagles now looking at a better season than last and aiming for greater success in the future. Glasner implored the players to be united and promised to give his “absolute best” in what he hopes will be the most successful season in the club’s history.

With the Conference League play-off against Zrinjski Mostar coming up and the EPL form to keep going, Palace have to believe in themselves and their ability to respond with another quality performance. For Glasner and his players, it is a no-brainer: after changing the story together, finish it with a ‍‌‍‍‌reward.
