Manchester United FC extended their unbeaten streak in the Premier League to 11 games by coming from behind to beat Crystal Palace FC 2-1 at Old Trafford. The visitors shocked the home fans just five minutes in when Brennan Johnson sent a deep corner to Maxence Lacroix, who coolly headed the ball into the far corner. It was the first time United had been behind at home in the league since mid-December, and Palace almost made it two when Ismaïla Sarr was stopped by Senne Lammens.

United slowly started to fight back, Bruno Fernandes made Dean Henderson work with a tough save from a free-kick, and then Casemiro just missed with a header from another set-piece.

Things really changed right before the hour mark when Lacroix took Matheus Cunha down inside the box, which led to a penalty and a red card after the VAR review showed he stopped a clear chance to score. Fernandes calmly stepped up and scored from the spot to even things out. The comeback was complete shortly after when Fernandes sent in a great cross for Benjamin Šeško, who jumped between defenders and headed in his fourth goal in five matches.

Henderson made some late saves to stop Casemiro and Amad Diallo, but United still wrapped up the win without much trouble.

The win moves Michael Carrick’s team up to third place, and the manager is now the first United boss since Frank O’Farrell in 1971 to win his first five home league games in charge.
