Edgard Leroy, who is a fast-rising filmmaker, has died in an auto crash that occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Saturday.
His demise had been confirmed on Instagram by his partner, David Akande, on Monday 13th of June, 2022.
It was said that the filmmaker was going to a movie scene in Ibadan when he had the lethal accident on the Sagamu area of the Expressway.
Edgard Leroy who died at age 26 was born in Cameroon but he spent most of his career life in Nigeria. He had just recently won the AMVCA award for Best Indigenous Movie Category which was held on the 14th of May, 2022. He was also planning to celebrate his 27th birthday on the 13th of July.
His burial arrangements are yet to be announced by his household.
