Belgium have received a severe blow to their hopes of victory against Iran in their essential FIFA World Cup group match on Sunday as winger Jeremy Doku will not play following the attacker experiencing a respiratory illness.
City winger Doku had been battling a chest complaint that flared up at the start of their training week in Seattle. Despite the attacker flying to Los Angeles with the Belgium squad, the player missed training as he continued to feel the effects of his sickness; therefore, he was unavailable to be considered for the fixture.

The boss confirmed the information when he was being questioned at his news conference and stated that the 24-year-old was improving but not match fit, although their Belgian medical professionals don’t want to jeopardize a further challenge for the players well being using antibiotics, hoping that the player could be ready to participate in the concluding group match versus New Zealand next Saturday as a fit man.
This blow for the Red Devils would make their pursuit of success against Iran a challenge, although they could use one of their other exciting attacking talents at the back to attempt to overcome a serious injury for one of their strongest contributors.
