Cristiano Ronaldo has married his long-term partner, Georgina Rodríguez; one of the most famous footballers in the world is officially off the market.
The couple announced the news on their Instagram page with a simple graphic of their initials (CR7) and their relationship status in the middle, but that was pretty much it from the Portuguese star and his Spanish partner.
Their ‘Instagram announcement’ was quickly inundated with millions of likes as millions followed the stars to witness the huge event. It is claimed that the wedding took place on a beach in the coastal Portuguese resort of Cascais, which is close to the country’s capital, Lisbon. The couple’s five children were also present at the ceremony, which was labelled “private and intimate” by the duo themselves.
The couple’s journey together began back in 2016 when their first meeting allegedly happened at a Gucci shop where Georgina worked at the time, which he described as “love at first sight”.

It is claimed that the pair discussed marriage for years, with CR7 stating back in 2019 when being interviewed by famous broadcaster Piers Morgan that they “will get married” one day, as it was his mother’s wish as well.
The marriage comes before CR7’s next season in Saudi Arabia, where he is still currently playing for Al Nassr after it was revealed he wouldn’t participate in another World Cup for his country. The 41-year-old has also vowed to keep playing until he thinks his body can no longer take it.
