The England international has had an immediate impact at Chelsea, hitting the back of the net with 15 minutes to spare in the Real Sociedad friendly at Stamford Bridge. Rogers was quicker than anyone in a bunch to the loose ball on the edge of the six-yard box, forcing home from close range.
Rogers said that the ability he has to play several roles is his strongest asset, playing on the left of the Chelsea three.

“I can play in any position, and that’s probably the strength of mine,” Rogers stated, as he stated he was happy to adapt to anything Alonso thought.
He said his aims were not individual goal-related: “As long as I’m contributing and creating and providing or doing whatever’s necessary to score and to win, that’s all I care about,” said the 24-year-old.
He admitted that this would be very beneficial for Cole Palmer, who would have another player with a different skill set alongside him, and it was noted he can be played as a 10, 8 or even winger according to Alonso.
