The issue of Kidnapping is now very rampant in every part of Nigeria, with this vice being unleashed by the same unknown gun men terrorizing residents in Nigeria. Just yesterday some miscreants kidnapped four residents of Ondo state and a traditional ruler, chief Mukalia Bello of Ikare Akoko in Akoko North East LGA ondo state. They were abducted on their way to somewhere along owo Ikare expressway, the driver of the vehicle fled from the scene but not after he was shot by the kidnappers

Report has it that the Kidnappers are requesting 50m in exchange for the freedom of the victims. According to a source, it is impossible for the families to get such a ridiculous amount of money and Religious houses in the state are rendering prayers for the freedom of the victims.

The source said, “The bandits have contacted the families of the victims and demanded a huge sum of money, N50million, but the families are unable to raise the amount. This is the situation of things for now.”

Mrs. Fumilayo, the spokesperson of the Ondo state police force has revealed that the police in collaboration with Vigilantes and hunters are out in the forest searching for the victims

“Our men and the local hunters and the vigilantes in the area are still in the bush to rescue the victims,” she said.

It is a shame that a country like Nigeria is plagued with insecurity.
