The Central Delivery Coordination Unit’s Presidential Delivery Tracker and a companion website were launched by the federal government on Tuesday.
The PDT/CDCU is intended to monitor, assess, and report regularly how MDAs are carrying out their ministerial duties, including how well ministers and permanent secretaries are performing.
The economy, agriculture, energy, transportation, infrastructure, industrialization, education, healthcare, security, anti-corruption, governance, poverty reduction, and social inclusion are among the key areas under review. These areas have been included in the ministerial mandates that have been signed by ministers and their permanent secretaries since 2019.
Boss Mustapha, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, stated that the CDCU will monitor the execution of Policies, Programmes, and Projects of Ministries along the nine Priority Areas of the Federal Government after the launch at the State House Banquet Hall.
He reassured stakeholders that both platforms’ views will receive the proper consideration.
The PDT/CDCU App is a co-creation platform that seeks to link Nigerian citizens to governance by enhancing individuals’ access to the Federal Government’s Presidential Priority Policies, Programs, and Projects.
The PDT/objective CDCUs is to provide access to reporting on presidential priority policies, programs, and initiatives while fostering transparency. Citizens are included in the third tier of reporting to provide crucial information that will support efficient service delivery.
He claims that the “Citizens App” and the website will let Nigerians give accurate input on how the government’s programs and projects that are most relevant to them are being carried out.
He stated that it is required of Nigerians to take part in and oversee the coordination of Federal Government operations in their neighborhoods.
Dr. Zainab Ahmed, Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, stated in her remarks that the MDAS must acknowledge the Federal Government’s high value placed on the task.
