Following an assault that resulted in death in the Republic of Ireland, a man in his 30s has been detained.
A guy in his 40s who had sustained terrible injuries was the victim when he was found on Wednesday at the grounds of Rathass Cemetery in Tralee, County Kerry.
Emergency services and Garda (Irish police) arrived at the area after hearing reports of a group of persons fighting.
At the scene, the individual was pronounced deceased.
He had been at a family funeral, according to RTÉ News.
Additionally, a woman in her 40s who was believed to be the man’s wife was sent with non-life-threatening wounds to University Hospital Kerry.
On Thursday morning, a post-mortem examination is anticipated to take place at the University Hospital Kerry.
The man is being held at Tralee Garda Station after being taken into custody early on Thursday in Cork.
