NEMA Welcomes Stranded Nigerians Evacuated from Dubai.

The newest batch of 542 stranded Nigerians who were recently evacuated by the Federal Government from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, was on Sunday morning, October 23, received by officials of the National Emergency Management Agency -NEMA, on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The returnees were well received by officials of NEMA, airport officials, security agencies, National Commission for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons -NCFRMI, NAPTIP, NIDCOM, NDLEA, Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigerian Customs Service, NCDC, Port Health Services, and several other organizations.

The Head of the Press Unit of NEMA, Manzo Ezekiel, who confirmed this through a statement, reported that the Max Air flight conveying the returnees touched down at MMA at 4:29 a.m. on the dot.

Mustapha Ahmed, the Director-General of NEMA, who led the team to receive the returnees on behalf of the government, cautioned them to learn from their experiences and be law-abiding citizens.

Meanwhile, Atinuke Mohammed, the Consul General of Nigeria in Dubai who accompanied the returnees back to the country, thanked the Federal Government for the special intervention in the safe evacuation of its citizens.
