It’s no news that Spanish giants, Barcelona are out of the Champions League this season, and has been demoted to the Europa League, following Viktoria Plzen’s 4-0 defeat to Inter Milan in the Champions League fixtures. To make matters worse, Bayern Munich stripped Barcelona of their remaining dignity as they mercilessly thrashed Barcelona 3-0 in the Champions League group fixtures on Wednesday night.
Senegalese striker, Sadio mane opened the goal-scoring spree for Bayern Munich as he carefully slotted the ball into the net after receiving an assist from Serge Gnabry, putting Bayern Munich in the lead. Eric Maxim Chopo-Moting doubled Bayern Munich’s lead as he scored another goal after being set up by Gnabry. The first half ended with Bayern Munich leading 2-0.
The second half saw Benjamin Pavard seal Bayern Munich’s win with another goal after receiving yet again an assist from Gnabry. Bayern Munich is top of their group after the win.
Barcelona fans have taken to social media to lambast certain Barcelona players, following their humiliating defeat to Bayern. Ousmane Dembele was called out for his disappointing performance in the game, and Ballerin was berated for his inability to stop Mane and Gnabry. Lewandowski too wasn’t left out of the bashing.
The fans also begged that Lionel Messi be brought back to the club since the club has been unable to make it past the group stages of the Champions League fixtures since he left.
