Oil marketers had yesterday 12 December, criticized the importation monopoly held solely by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, while noting that the situation was not helping the petrol market in any way.
The General Manager, of Operations, Total Energies Marketing Nigeria Limited, Abdulmutallab Rabiu, had called for an end to NNPCL’s petrol import monopoly during his presentation at a virtual press workshop held in Lagos on Monday.
The General manager who had been represented by an independent consultant and former Group Executive Director for NNPC, Bello Rabiu, had remarked that the Federal Government should enable healthy competition by granting licenses and access to foreign exchange to marketers willing to get into the commodity impoRemove tion business.
