Scores of people have reportedly been killed during a terrorist attack on Sunday night in Malagum and Sokwong communities of Kagoro Chiefdom in the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to a Twitter user, Steven Kefas, no fewer than 19 people had been confirmed dead from the attacks.
About 17 dead bodies have been recovered after the terrorists suspected to be Fulani herdsmen launched a late-night attack in Mallagun communities in Southern Kaduna yesterday.
“This is coming a few days after several people were killed in various parts of Southern Kaduna. Two more bodies have just been recovered, bringing the total number of bodies to 19. A search for more missing people is ongoing,” Steven Kefas later added.
Hon. Mathias Siman, Council Chairman, while speaking with The PUNCH newspaper said that he could only confirm that seven persons were gruesomely slaughtered in the Sokwong community but that he knew for a fact that all the houses in Sokwong community were completely burnt down by the terrorists.
However, he is still yet to confirm the killings in Malagum I.
