If we can recall, on March 8, 2023, Akere Spare Parts market at Ajegunle in the Apapa area of Lagos State, was razed down by the fire, goods worth millions of naira were destroyed, the victims of the fire incident whose goods were burnt called on the Governor of Lagos State to intervene, Governor Sanwo Olu has headed their request.
As of Wednesday, March 15th Governor Sanwo Olu donated 100m to the traders who lost their goods due to the incident and has also kick-started the renovation of the market.
Many Lagosians believe that he’s only doing this to get Lagosians to vote for him in Saturday’s Gubernatorial elections.
