A pastor in Idanre, Idanre, Idanre Local Government, Pastor Kayode Salami has been apprehended by the Ondo State Police Command, after one of his church members, Adejoke Oloje was found dead in his church.

The deceased who was found dead by her mother Deborah had been living in the church premises since 2021 and refused to leave the church premises, even after being begged by her mother. On that faithful day, the mother arrived at the church premises where the daughter stays and saw the daughter’s 11 months old baby crying profusely, she then opened the door but found her daughter lying lifeless on the floor with her pants.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival, the mother immediately alerted the police, and on arresting the pastor, his trousers were torn under and he wasn’t wearing any underwear, this further confirmed her suspicion that the pastor raped her daughter.

The pastor has denied raping the deceased as according to him, he saw the deceased that morning but he did not rape her.

Other tests will be carried out to ascertain the cause of her death, like an autopsy test to ascertain if she was raped by the pastor who is claiming innocent.
