In an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court, a victim(name withheld)  narrated how she was raped severally by a youth pastor of Deeper Life Church named pastor Pope Paul who is the husband of the lady she’s living with.

According to nineteen years old victim, she was defiled when she was 15 years old, by the Pastor. She said that she has always spent holidays with the wife of the accused (Lydia) even before she got married, and after getting married, the wife requested that she remained living with her, as she already contacted her parents to seek permission.

On Feb 17, 2018, when the wife had gone to work, the accused came to her and started making inappropriate advances towards her, touching her inappropriately in sensitive areas, he covered her mouth and used his fingers to deflower her and then continued to have sex with her.

She was later called by her mother to come back to Ibadan to stay with her as she was to undergo an operation, it was in Ibadan that her mother discovered that she was pregnant and then called the pastor to inform him of the situation, he initially apologized and said that he had begged God for forgiveness, however, he later denied having sex with her, which made the mother report the case to the police station.
