The FCT High Court has barred the Labour Party’s national chairman, Julius Abure, national secretary, Farouk Ibrahim, and two other individuals from disguising themselves as party national officers.

The order also has an impact on the party’s treasurer and national organizing secretary, Clement Ojukwu.

The restraining order was imposed by Judge Hamza Muazu while deciding on an ex-parte application filed by Ogwu Onoja, SAN.

In the case, Mr. Onoja had described to the court how the national officials had allegedly falsified a number of FCT High Court documents to conduct illegal substitutions during the most recent general election.

The receipts, court seal, and affidavits to carry out alleged criminal activity were among the documents.

In the port of the Chief Registrar of the Court’s letter to the Labour Party asking them to disown many documents utilized for the alleged illegal acts by Mr. Abure and three others, Mr. Onoja presented the judge with several documents.

He added that warrants for the four people’s arrest had already been acquired and that they would be arraigned in court after being charged by the police investigation.

Judge Muazu ruled that the application and the affidavits supporting it had estabInterior’slished a strong case for the request’s approval.

The judge gave the four officers the go-ahead to quit impersonating Labour Party National Officials right away.

He set a return date of April 17 for the matter’s continuation.
