The NSCDC state Public Relations Officer, Tolulope Afolabi, on Monday, April 10, said that the suspects paraded included six persons arrested in the Ekute area of the state capital for attempted murder.
According to Afolabi, six of the suspects, Tosin (aged 22), Abejide (aged 22), Adeoye (aged 21), Oke (aged 22), Ayeni (aged 22), and Iremide (aged 22), had been on the radar of the command’s Counter Terrorism Unit since March 8, 2023, before they were finally apprehended on Easter Sunday at the Ekute area of Ado Ekiti.
The arrest had come after a lady, Omolola (aged 23) had reported a case of attempted murder on her by the suspects and how she was mobbed and stripped naked by them as a result of a misunderstanding.
Meanwhile, the suspects are under custody, assisting the command to trace other members of the confraternity.
