To ensure a peaceful transition on May 29, the Rev. Fr Hyacinth Alia, the incoming governor of Benue, has formed a 29-member transition committee.
This information is included in a statement that was published on Thursday in Makurdi and was signed by his director of communications, Mr. Tersoo Kula.
According to Kula, the group will work in tandem with the transition team for the state government to guarantee a smooth transfer of authority.
Former state Head of Service Chief Mike Iordye serves as the committee’s chairman, and Mr. Dan Ashiekaa will act as secretary.
In addition to him, he listed other members of the committee as Prof. John Enyi, Prof. Steve Ugbah, Mr. Hinga Biem, Dr. Moses Tule, Mr. Samuel Agule, Mr. Paul Biam, Mr. Moses Atagher, and Dr. Emmanuel Atser.
The committee’s inauguration would take place on Friday in Makurdi, according to Kula.
