The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will compete in Group D of the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina alongside Brazil, Italy, and the Dominican Republic.
This year’s tournament draw took place on Friday, April 21 in Zürich, Switzerland.
The Flying Eagles’ first match at the competition will be against the Dominican Republic on May 21, followed by a match against Italy on May 24.
On May 27, they will play the five-time champions of the FIFA U-20 World Cup to close up the group stage.
Senegal, which defeated Colombia, Israel, and Japan to win the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, is in Group C.
Tunisia was placed in Group E along with Uruguay, Iraq, and England, while Gambia, the other African representative, was placed in Group F along with France, South Korea, and Honduras.
In each group, the top two teams along with the four best third-place teams advance to the round of 16.
Beginning on May 20, 2023, the competition will conclude on June 11, 2023.
