Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, had on Saturday, April 29 revealed that the Mission in Egypt was currently making arrangements to finance the payment of visa fees for stranded Nigerians at the border of the country.
This is coming after the Federal Government had on Friday, April 28, called on the relevant authorities along the contiguous borders of Sudan to create a humane condition for an estimated 7,000 nationals, including Nigerians, to have ease of access to their various destinations.
Dabiri-Erewa, who made this disclosure had also revealed that the nationals were not being allowed to cross the border into Egypt since their arrival on Thursday evening.
However, it has been found out that certain state governments have evacuated their indigenes or those sponsored by them on Saturday. States like Borno, Jigawa, and Kaduna had come for their indigenes.
