The coronation of the new King of England, King Charles III, and his wife, Queen Camilla, was a celebration of pomp and pageantry that was held on May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey, England.
Recall that before his coronation, he had ascended the throne on September 8, 2022, after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
President Buhari had joined other dignitaries from across the globe to attend the event, accompanied by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama; the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed; and the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno.
Meanwhile, Pop star and Afrobeat singer, Tiwa Savage, will perform at the coronation concert to be held today, May 7.
The historic coronation ceremony will last until Monday, May 8, 2023.
