A faction of disgruntled politicians from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), known as the G5 or the Integrity Group, convened a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State was present, accompanied by former Governors Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State. Additionally, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State was observed among the participants.
A video capturing their arrival at the Villa showcased Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of Rivers State, leading the group with confidence.
The politicians arrived at the State House at approximately 4:21 pm and proceeded directly to the President’s office.
