The school authorities of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, have confirmed the death of two of its students in a road accident.
The institution had made this revelation on Thursday, September 28.
Prior to the confirmation, two students of the school’s accounting department had died in an accident while coming back from a trip to Erin-Ijesa Waterfall in Osun State on Wednesday, September 27.
Lekan Fadeyi, the Public Relations Officer– PRO had confirmed the incident on Thursday.
Fadeyi had also said that the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Razaq Olatunde Kalilu, had called on members of the University community to pray for God’s guidance and protection as the incoming months were the ‘deadliest’ months seen every year aka the ember months.
He had said:
“The students were mostly from the accounting department of the University and were said to have traveled in two vehicles.”
“Professor Kalilu while commiserating with the families of the deceased students had prayed for divine healing for those still receiving medical attention in the hospital.”
