Well, folks, the age-old question of whether some musicians are secretly big-time fraudsters might be getting some answers. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) decided to drop by the Lagos crib of none other than Nigerian musician Skales, aka Raoul John Njeng-Njeng.

You know how it goes – some of these big-shot musicians supposedly have underlings doing their dirty work in the world of cyber fraud. Surprise, surprise, your favorite artist might be dabbling in some shady business.

During this real-life raid, it seems the EFCC caught a couple of fish in their net – two suspected internet fraudsters, Udemba Chukwuemeka, who goes by the name “Jody,” and Jamal Jamiu Onasola, also known as “Jamal.”

The EFCC couldn’t resist sharing the juicy details on their verified X handle (formerly known as Twitter). They accused these two suspects of pulling off some romance scams, tricking unsuspecting folks.

According to the EFCC, their operatives swooped down on House F10, Victoria Crest 4, Lekki, Lagos, on October 10, 2023, and nabbed these two alleged scammers. What’s the kicker? They were found right in the residence of musician Skales himself.

And here’s the plot twist – the suspects are calling Skales their “mentor.” Chukwuemeka has been chilling at Njeng’s place for two whole years, while Onasola is more of a newbie, just hanging around for a few months.

The big question now is, how is Skales going to groove his way out of this mess? Stay tuned, folks, because this scandal could be a chart-topper in the making!
