Former United States of American President, Barack Obama, has included four Nigerian artistes in his favourite music of 2023 list.
The artistes include: Davido ft Musa Keys for his song ‘Unavailable, Asake ft Olamide, for his song: ‘Amapiano’, Tems for her song: ‘Me & U’, and Burna Boy ft 21 Savage for the song: ‘Sittin’ On Top Of The World’.
The recent break-out South African singer, Tyla, was additionally included in the list released by the former US President on Friday for her top 2023 song: ‘Water’.
Asides from Afrobeats, the list had featured music from around the world including Latino, pop, Afrobeats, Hip-hop, Grime, Reggaeton, Reggae, Dancehall, R&B, and Soul.
Sharing the list via his verified X handle, Obama had written:
“Here are some of my favourite songs from this year [2023]. Let me know if there are any artists or songs I should check out.”
