The Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has sympathised with the management and students of the Yobe State University over the fire incident that destroyed one of the female hostels.
Buni had in a statement through his spokesman, Mamman Mohammed tagged the inferno as unfortunate and regretful but he had also expressed gratitude that no life was lost in the tragedy.
Consequently, he charged SEMA to provide food, clothing, and beddings while the state government sought alternative accommodation for the female students.
Furthermore, Governor Buni charged the students and residents of the state to be watchful and avoid actions capable of causing fire in the future.
Presently, the state governor has has assured residents that the government would probe and inquire into the remote and immediate cause of the fire disaster to prevent future fire outbreaks.
