Pogba’s Story Takes a Drastic Turn:

The 30-year-old World Cup winner, who has struggled with injuries throughout his career, now faces the possibility of an early retirement. Pogba, who recently returned to Juventus after a difficult stint at Manchester United, expressed his shock and disappointment at the decision, claiming innocence and vowing to appeal.

What Happened?

Pogba tested positive for testosterone following Juventus’ opening game of the season in August 2023. He maintains he never intentionally used performance-enhancing drugs and believes the positive result originated from a food supplement prescribed by a doctor.

Pogba Hit With Four-Year Doping Ban, Vows to Appeal

Controversial Ruling:

The four-year ban is the maximum penalty under anti-doping regulations. However, Pogba’s representatives argue that the ban should be reduced as he was not at fault and the substance wouldn’t have affected his performance.

The Future Remains Uncertain:

With the ban in effect, Pogba will be unable to play until the 2027/28 season, casting a shadow over his future in the sport. The situation is further complicated by off-field issues, including an ongoing extortion investigation in France.

Will Pogba See Justice?

Pogba’s appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport offers a glimmer of hope for the midfielder. Only time will tell if he can clear his name and salvage his career, leaving many fans questioning whether they will ever see him play at the highest level again.
