Mo Salah is back, and Manchester United should be very afraid! The Egyptian forward, fresh off a goal in his return from injury, is ready to wreak havoc on their rivals in the upcoming FA Cup clash, according to Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
Not only did he score in his first start since January, but he also became the first Liverpool player to score 20 goals or more in seven straight seasons! That’s some serious scoring power.
With 12 goals in 13 games against United, Salah has a knack for putting the Red Devils in misery. This is a massive boost for Liverpool’s quest to win an unprecedented four trophies this season (that’s the quadruple, folks!).
Klopp’s final hurrah?
This might be Jurgen Klopp’s last season at the helm, and he’s already lifted the League Cup with Liverpool on top of the Premier League table. With Salah back, the quadruple dream is very much alive!
Believe it or not, Manchester United are actually the ONLY team to stop Liverpool from scoring this season, drawing 0-0 at Anfield back in December. However, they haven’t exactly been lighting up the league themselves, making the FA Cup their only shot at silverware.
Klopp wary of Old Trafford
Despite Liverpool’s recent dominance, Klopp has only won twice at Manchester United’s stadium in nine attempts. He acknowledges it’s always a tough battle, but Liverpool will be giving it their all.
While Liverpool are getting some players back (Konate and Gravenberch might even play!), key names like Alisson and Alexander-Arnold are still out.
