At least 93 people have died and over 140 wounded after gunmen open fired at a rock concert at Crocus City Hall in a suburb of Moscow on Friday evening, according to Russian intelligence. The causes of death of the 93 victims had been gunshot wounds and poisoning by combustion products.

Russia’s security chief had told President Vladimir Putin on Saturday morning that the four suspects directly involved in the attack are among the 11 persons arrested.

Meanwhile, the U.S has stated that credible sources have informed them that an affiliate of the Islamic State group could be behind the attack, after the group had claimed that they carried out the attack.

The White House had also claimed that it warned Russia of a potential attack on “large gatherings” in Moscow earlier this month but Russia has yet to confirm nor deny this.

The Ukraine  government currently at war with Russia – has denied any involvement in this incident.

The concert hall where the shooting happened is still being inspected, with emergency services working to clear out the rubble, collect possible evidence and go through CCTV footage.

There are new reports that the attackers had used flammable liquid to set fire to sections of the concert hall.

The attackers are believed to have used automatic weapons, leaving behind cartridges.
