Nigerian Railway Corporation Suspends Delta to Kogi Services Due to Track Obstruction

Due to poor track conditions, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has announced the suspension of its train services between Delta and Kogi States. This decision impacts the route from Ujevwu in Delta State to Itakpe in Kogi State.

Notice to Passengers

In a notice titled “Public Announcement” sent to customers, the NRC disclosed that services are scheduled to resume on Monday, July 8, 2024.

Official Statement

“This is to officially notify our esteemed passengers that the Warri-Itakpe Train will not run today, Friday, July 5, 2024, due to the obstruction we have on our track,” the statement read.

The NRC assured passengers that normal train services will resume on Monday, July 8, 2024. Passengers who have already booked their tickets online will receive refunds. “All inconveniences are highly regretted. Thank you,” the statement concluded.
