Tinubu Appoints New Heads for Key Nigerian Agencies

In a significant move to bolster the leadership of key Nigerian agencies, President Bola Tinubu has announced new appointments. Mainasara Kogo has been appointed as the Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), while Omolola Oloworaran has been named the Director-General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom). Additionally, Jobson Ewalefoh has been appointed as the Director-General of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC).

New Leadership for CCT

President Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Mainasara Umar Kogo as the new Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT). Dr. Kogo is recognized for his expertise in law, security, economy, politics, and international diplomacy. His appointment is expected to bring a wealth of experience and analytical skills to the tribunal, enhancing its role in maintaining ethical standards among public officials.

 

Leadership Change at PenCom

The President has also appointed Ms. Omolola Bridget Oloworaran as the new Director-General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom). Ms. Oloworaran, a seasoned finance and banking expert, brings years of experience to her new role. Her appointment, like that of Dr. Kogo, is subject to confirmation by the Nigerian Senate. She is expected to leverage her extensive background to steer PenCom toward achieving its strategic goals.

ICRC’s New Director-General

In addition, President Tinubu has approved the appointment of Jobson Ewalefoh as the new Director-General of the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC). Mr. Ewalefoh’s appointment is also pending Senate confirmation. His leadership is anticipated to drive the commission’s efforts in regulating and facilitating infrastructure concessions across the country.

President Tinubu has urged the newly appointed leaders to utilize their expertise and professionalism to enhance the operations and efficiency of their respective agencies. He emphasized the importance of their roles in contributing to Nigeria’s development and governance.
