Israel’s military has attacked a school situated close to Deir al-Balah, a city in central Gaza, killing at least 30 Palestinians and wounding over 100 people, according to the Hamas-run ministry of health.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had revealed on Telegram that a Hamas command and control centre was lodged inside the Khadija School.
The IDF also revealed how Hamas used the compound as a hiding place to direct and plan attacks as well as store weapons.
Meanwhile Gaza’s health ministry had said that footage showed the victims of the attack were civilians, with most of them being children.
The ministry also revealed that 53 people had been killed, leaving 189 injured since Saturday morning due to the IDF bombing in Deir al-Balah and the southern city of Khan Younis.
This attack is coming as Israel continues its months-long military assault in Gaza. This attack has killed more than 39,000 Palestinians, according to report by Gaza’s health ministry.
