Drake, a Canadian rapper, lost a bet worth $450,000 following the loss of Israel Adesanya to Dricus du Plessis in a UFC middleweight fight.
During the main event, Drake had bet on Adesanya, who is also called the ‘Last Stylebender,’ to win back his UFC middleweight title. Although, the fight was not as planned as Adesanya was choked down by his opponent through submission.
If Adesanya had won, Drake would have been awarded $850, 000. Sadly, this loss continues a recent trend that has Drake become known for losing sports bets.
One of the most recent examples is that the performer of the track “Hotline Bling” supported fighters such as Alex Pereira, Nate Diaz, Leon Edwards, and Francis Ngannou when he fought Anthony Joshua — all of them lost.
