The transfer window has started heating up in the Premier League, a time when all clubs are trying to put through some last-minute deals before the deadline. Manchester United takes center stage in the happening transfers that are expected.

Manchester United’s Activity: Paris Saint-Germain star Manuel Ugarte is set for a medical in Manchester United in what sources termed as a big boost in the midfield. The deal is believed to be close, with Scott McTominay set to complete a move to Napoli and likely to be a man to replace the Uruguayan. United is, however, trying to figure out if a possible swap handshake can be agreed upon over Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho-that will see Sterling head to Old Trafford and the latter going back to his London home.

Arsenal’s Moves: Arsenal kept on going by adding further to their midfield after securing the signing of Mikel Merino. The Gunners have continued shaping their squad with academy graduate Eddie Nketiah set to join Crystal Palace for £30m in a summer that sees the club continue to reshape their squad. In the process, Aaron Ramsdale also looks to be hanging in uncertain grounds regarding a stay in the first team, with questions over whether he will be first choice next season.

Signings of Liverpool Liverpool have sealed their first signing under the new manager, Arne Slot, as Giorgi Mamardashvili joins Anfield from 2025. Liverpool are closing in on Juventus’s Federico Chiesa. Time is running out, but Liverpool remains upbeat about sealing the deal for the Italian international who might bring dynamism into their attack.

Chelsea’s Busy Window: Chelsea has kept up its wild transfer policy with the announcement of Genk sensation Mike Penders. The continued transfer window of the London club sees high speculation around targets, key players in different clubs, such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Viktor Gyökeres, and Ivan Toney, as the window nears its end.

Orel Mangala: Everton Interest Everton want to take Orel Mangala back to the Premier League just weeks after the Belgian left Nottingham Forest. The Belgian international, who earlier in the month signed for Lyon, is in advanced talks with the Merseyside club and expected to have a medical this week.

West Ham closing on Abraham: West Ham United is closing in on the capture of Roma striker Tammy Abraham. The deal will be structured as an initial loan with an obligation to buy next season for Abraham, hence make a return to the Premier League after a good spell with Serie A.

Brighton’s Latest Signing: Brighton, it appears, can’t get enough new signings. Their newest is Turkish full-back Ferdi Kadıoğlu from Fenerbahçe, costing them £25 million.

Joao Cancelo Moves to Al-Hilal: In what is a sensational deal, full-back Joao Cancelo said goodbye to Manchester City and signed with the Saudi Pro League champions, Al-Hilal. Cancelo spent the last campaign on loan at Barcelona and has joined the club from Riyadh for three years, where he teams up with fellow Portugal international Rúben Neves.

With the transfer window shut in, these transfers just outline the frenetic pace of business as clubs finalize their squads for the forthcoming season.
