Manchester United continued their troubles at Selhurst Park as they were held goalless by Crystal Palace to be left without a win in five visits to the ground. Manchester United controlled possession throughout and created a lot of scoring chances, but Erik ten Hag’s men clearly failed to capitalize.

United dominated much of the first half, with Alejandro Garnacho denied twice by former United goalkeeper Dean Henderson, who also saved a point-blank header from Matthijs de Ligt. Palace was on the back foot yet threatened on the counter; Eberechi Eze forced a comfortable save from André Onana.

At the restart, Palace boss Oliver Glasner introduced Ismaïla Sarr and Jefferson Lerma, and that seemed to spark a brief revival of the hosts. Sarr combined nicely with Eze but United were soon back in the ascendancy. Bruno Fernandes could have made the breakthrough but was off-target with his shot from the edge of the box.

As the game wore on, United introduced Marcus Rashford, looking to capitalize on the in-form goal-scorer. Palace almost took the lead, however, as Onana produced a magnificent double save to deny first Eddie Nketiah and then Sarr in quick succession.

The tempers went up late on when Lisandro Martínez was booked for a challenge on Daichi Kamada, where Palace were demanding red; yet the match ultimately ended without a breakthrough for either side as United were left frustrated and Palace celebrated a third straight draw of the season.
