Thousands of supporters on Saturday joined the 2023 senatorial aspirant, Tinok Andrew Nok, as she moved from the New Nigeria Peoples Party to the Labour Party in Kaduna State.

Tinok, who is consequently the younger sister of former Kaduna State Commissioner of Education, Prof. Andrew Nok, had expressed her conviction that the Labour Party shared her ideology of honesty and service to the people.

Tinok’s defection is now viewed as a significant boost to the Labour Party in Kaduna State, especially in light of the forthcoming elections.

The huge crowd that were in attendance at the occasion showed the enthusiasm and optimism of Tinok’s defection to the Labour Party in the state.

With this development, political pundits have predicted a shift in the balance of power in Kaduna State, with the Labour Party’s growing influence expected to impact the state’s political landscape.

With the October 19 local government elections in view, all eyes are on the Labour Party’s performance.

Earlier, the State Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party, Mr. Yusuf Solomon Danbaki, assured the candidates in the state council’s election that the party would help them, with the objective to work tirelessly for the success of everyone.

What They’re Saying

Tinok had given a speech saying,

“My decision to join the Labour Party is influenced by Senator Nnadi Usman, National Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party.” She had also promised to leverage her wealth of experience to strengthen the party and contribute to its growth in Kaduna State.
