Asisat Oshoala is set to miss out of the African Women Cup Of Nations (AWCON) qualifiers due for later this month in Abuja.
The 27-year old Barcelona Femeni Forward was replaced in the 63rd minute in the match against TSG Hoffenheim in the Women’s Champions Legues after appeared to have suffered a knee pain.
The club released a statement yesterday stating that the Super Falcons Captain suffered a “rupture of the posterior cruciate ligament of the right knee and will be about two months off”.
The Barcelona Femeni striker is the top scorer in the league with 11 goals in 9 games played including 1 goal in the Women’s Champions League. Oshoala is now set to miss out of the Super Falcons xamp in preparation for the AWCON 2022 in Morocco.
