Just yesterday, the head coach of the Black Galaxies of Ghana, Walker Annor stated that he’s very confident that his team will defeat Nigeria in the CHAN qualifiers which is to hold on Sunday in Cape Town.

Salisu Yusuf, Super Eagles home based coach has reiterated that he is quite aware of the capacity of the Ghanaian team but he’s super confident that his team will take them down.

According to Yusuf, his boys are in perfect condition and he expects a positive result. What transpired in the WAFU finals will not repeat itself as Ghana thrashed them 4-0 hands down. He further disclosed that they are aware of the strength of the Ghanian team and they’ll try to contain it and exploit their weakness

“On Friday we didn’t do any workout but this morning (Saturday) we did little exercise. I think the boys are in good condition and we hope to have a good result.

“For the weather condition Abuja is not up to what is in Ghana I think we have the quality to contain them and get a good result.

“We played them here in WAFU Cup, we beat them 2-0 in the group stage and they beat us 4-0 in the final. But currently, it is not the same coach or period.

“But I still believe that we have an idea where they have strength as a team and we will see how we will be able to contain their strength and explore their weaknesses.”

Nigerians are quite skeptical about Yusuf’s confidence as they believe that the Ghanaian team is more trained and better prepared for the match.
