Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has again addressed the long-standing disagreement between himself and former Plantashun Boiz member Blackface, this time explaining where their other ex-bandmate, Faze, fits into the situation.
The award-winning artist spoke while performing at the Made in Benue Festival in Makurdi, where he briefly spoke to fans about the internal history of the defunct music group.
His comments come against the backdrop of the prolonged feud that has followed the group’s breakup.

Over the years, Blackface has repeatedly accused 2Baba of intellectual property theft — allegations the “African Queen” crooner has consistently rejected.
The disagreement, which began after Plantashun Boiz disbanded in the early 2000s, has resurfaced multiple times despite several reconciliation attempts.
During his on-stage address, 2Baba stressed that Faze has never been involved in the conflict and has remained neutral throughout.
“You all know that Plantashun Boiz consisted of Blackface, 2Face, and Faze. But due to some unforeseen circumstances, Blackface is not with us right now,” he said.
He continued, “However, no matter the beef wey me and Blackface get, nothing concerns Faze inside. So, Faze is right here with me, and we will represent Plantashun Boiz.”
2Baba’s remarks were aimed at clearing any misconceptions about Faze’s role, reinforcing that the disagreement is strictly between himself and Blackface, whose strained relationship has endured for years despite intermittent peace talks.
